Ndeka
I’m Ndeka, a certified yoga teacher and doula, and I began my yoga journey in my late teens. Being introduced to this new language of body, mind, and soul opened a world of self-discovery for me and awakened a deep desire to keep exploring, growing, listening, and learning from others.
The experiences and positive effects I have gained on my own path are what I love to share with my students in my classes.
My interest in people and cultures led me to pursue a master’s degree in Tourism and Development, which I completed in collaboration with UNESCO representatives in Mozambique. Yet my true passion remained with yoga and my ability to connect with people on all levels.
Early in my training, I lived with Swamis and studied the philosophy of Sivananda Yoga. Since then, I have continued to participate in trainings around the world, including programs offered by initiatives such as Tribe Yoga.
In addition to yoga asanas, I integrate elements of Vipassana meditation into my classes to cultivate mindfulness and deepen awareness of both physical and mental sensations.
My classes are grounded in clear intentions and designed to encourage students to trust their bodies and individual needs, to cultivate their own kindness, and to explore personal growth. My aim is that students carry this energy with them beyond the mat.
I teach in English.
